Kings Day is a bank holiday in the Kingdom of the Netherlands in honour of King Willem Alexander’s birthday. In all parts of the kingdom, it counts as a day off for most workers and is celebrated with various festivities, including free markets, music festivals and especially wearing orange clothes.
